We are looking to be the prime contributors to the repair and or renovation of housing, accommodation and other facilities such as battered women shelters, crises centres and other forms of distress safe havens in and around the G.T.A. There are many gaps in the functioning of a society, however, there are people poised to help bridge these gaps if properly coordinated. We will be invoking young people to be part of the community solution instead of a part of the community problem.
We are looking to partner with people who are ready to venture boldly into this new benchmark of community involvement and raise the bar for the rest of the country. The long term goal of Community Builders is to have the idea of youth opportunities programs and community build projects expand across the province and coast to coast.
Other industries can gain inspiration from this model and formulate a plan to assist youth at risk into their future growth. There are approximately 110 trades outside of construction and all of these industries have employer / employee groups that can develop their own initiatives and Community Builders will always offer assistance to make it happen.
